definition:
Redemptive Environmental Science (RES) Fiction is:
- Writing that has a touch of science in it,
- takes place in an environment, and
- features some sort of redemption.
This includes satire, action-adventure with magical realism, mating, feeding
frenzies, biodiversity, techno-kitsch and the occasional gratuitous
happy ending.
Linked below you will find summaries of a few stories that I have written and
registered with the WGA. The roster of unwritten stories is much longer, buzzing around my head in a
theatrabatic holding pattern. Alas, my psychic air traffic controllers
are on strike. Where's Reagan when you need him?
These stories give you an idea of the dazzling scope of “redemptive environmental
science fiction”. Not all the links are up yet, so for a few
of them, you have a one line teaser.
